We have a variety of interests, but our biggest passion after our animals is sports.  Greg is in bowling and basketball recreation leagues and together we play on a co-ed summer softball team.  Greg also loves to golf with his uncles and brothers and promises that he’ll help Whittney learn the game soon.  We have also been known to play on a few sand volleyball teams if we have a free weekend, and Whittney coaches the fresh-soph softball team in the spring at our former high school.  

When we aren’t busy with sporting activities, Whittney also likes to have scrapbooking weekends with friends, play her saxophone in church and the community band, and of course, take her horse on trail rides.  We also like to visit a nearby lake and go boating.  

Other ways we spend our time is with our families.  Greg loves to watch his youngest brother’s sporting events (I told you we were avid sportsfans!) and working on 4-H projects with him.  Whittney likes to pick up her niece and nephew and take them to the park, on walks with the puppies, and to the county fairs.  More often than not, though, we end up at one of parents’ houses for an impromptu barbeque, card game, ping pong tournament, campfire, and visiting.  

Our faith is very important to us, too.  We have a strong church family, and attend the church that Whittney’s family has been a part of for three generations.  We have been involved in teaching Sunday school, children’s ministry, and providing music during the service.  Since Whittney’s sister and brother-in-law often work on Sundays, we bring their children to church so they can experience the Christian faith early in their lives.  

Our interests are many and diversified, but they contribute so much to who we are.  We cannot wait to share all of these experiences with our child—to watch our child become captivated and interested and carve their own personality into the world around us.
